Based on the ‘Invested in Tomorrow’ theme, the Group displays its expertise, cutting-edge facilities, and commitment to Saudi Arabia’s healthcare landscape.
Riyadh: Burjeel Holdings, one of the leading healthcare services providers in the MENA region, is showcasing its medical and complex care prowess in the highly anticipated Global Health Exhibition in the Kingdom’s capital. With the theme ‘Invested in Tomorrow,’ Burjeel Holdings takes center stage at the event in Riyadh, demonstrating its capacity to offer and expand its unique bouquet of complex healthcare offerings in the Kingdom and beyond.
The participation at the Global Health Exhibition comes at a time when Burjeel Holdings has recently launched PhysioTherabia, the first-of-its-kind advanced physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and wellness centers, which is set to become the largest network in the Kingdom. The Burjeel pavilion, at booth number H4 E50 at Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center, also offers a peek into its future plans in KSA.
Aligned with KSA’s Vision 2030, the Group showcases its commitment to investing in the Kingdom by bolstering the health system and the development for the local community. The campaign pillar ‘Invested in…’ outlines the Group’s efforts in areas including talent, technology, community, sustainability, and research, among many others.
During the event, Burjeel Holdings is also displaying its state-of-the-art complex care capabilities catering to the wider region. Its flagship, Burjeel Medical City (BMC), offers treatments for severe complex conditions catering to patients from across the GCC, Asia, MENA, Africa, and Eastern Europe.
The quaternary care services offered by BMC include fetal-maternal medicine, complex gynecological care, advanced treatments for orthopedics and cardiovascular conditions, comprehensive cancer care including total body irradiation, a component in the interdisciplinary treatment for cancers offered to all patients, and an advanced molecular genetics lab with NGS technologies for whole genome sequencing (WGS), whole exome sequencing (WES) and gene panel testing.
BMC is known for its groundbreaking techniques in fetal medicine, including in-utero spina bifida repair and cutting-edge gynecological interventions for conditions like endometriosis. It also possesses exceptional skills in orthopedics, complicated congenital and developmental deformities in children and adults.
According to Mr. Abdulmohsen Al Ashry, Regional CEO of Burjeel Holdings, the theme at Global Health emphasizes the Group’s alignment with the national healthcare objectives.
“We are thrilled to participate in the prestigious Global Health Exhibition Event in Riyadh. We are deeply committed to investing in key areas to revolutionize the healthcare landscape and improve outcomes. We firmly believe that by investing in healthcare, we are investing in tomorrow,” he said.
The launch of PhysioTherabia last week also marked a milestone in Burjeel’s international expansion strategy. A joint venture with Leejam Sports Company, PhysioTherabia’s unique gym-based physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and wellness model supplements efforts to bring Saudi Arabia into the Exercise is Medicine Global Health Network, a global health initiative managed by the American College of Sports Medicine.
In August 2022, Burjeel Holdings announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment. The agreement will see the Group invest up to USD 1 billion in Saudi Arabia by 2030. The Group is exploring several options to expand its presence in the Kingdom through Joint Ventures and Operations and Management services.
